Virtual Insanity! #1

The Virtual Insanity column will, each Monday, feature things revolving around Wii’s Virtual Console. It will look into the past, present, and future of the unique feature. So lets kick things off this week with a list of the games that need to come to the VC, after the jump.

Site Ambitions

Seeing as I would really like this site to become something, I have a few ambitions for Cesaria. These are just a few things to keep people coming.

• I would like to host some online multi player tournaments as to have a sense of community when you visit Cesaria.
• A weekly column that covers an overlooked title in one of the sites three criteria: games, music, film.
• A weekly review in one the above criteria.
• Hopefully some people will want to help contribute, be it reviews or original columns. It would help broaden our view. I welcome anyone, but would like to keep to a strict deadline for articles. It will definitely be a business environment. A FUN! business environment. A slight background in writing is a positive.
•  Just to expand on the contributions aspect, I around here will be covering the indie music and Wii/DS games. It would be nice to have someone cover all things Microsoft or Sony. As to diversify.

The Countdown Begins

The countdown until Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is released on the Wii begins. The game gets its North American release August 27th, and to celebrate its arrival, why not go back to its beginnings!

The Metroid Retrospective on gametrailers.com is absolutely unrivaled in its presentation. They also did one on the Legend of Zelda series, and are currently working on Metroid and Final Fantasy. If you have some time to kill, I highly recommend these. BUT, as it appears, I cannot embed videos. SO, i just have to link you to the site.

Sony: Mindfucking Your Fucking Mind

I understand this is pure speculation, but goddamn is this getting hard to follow! Check this out.

Andre Vridnaud, Microsoft’s Director of Technical Strategies, states:

“My prediction is that you’re going to see the creation of a new, low-end SKU this holiday. It’ll likely remove integrated wi-fi, memory card reader, and most controversially, all backward compatibility,” he added.

“You’ll see a new wi-fi dongle made available. And finally, this low-end SKU will likely come with a smaller 40 GB hard drive. The low-end price will be set at $399, with the higher-end 80 GB SKU dropping to $499.”

I’ve given up on that turkey. The further bloggings and rants of yours truly will now be found here.  Not really anything to say right now, I guess.  But, the ambition for this site is to cover all things video game, music, and film, while giving my view upon said media. I hope to update several times a week, and hopefully in the future move beyond simple bloggings, and do some sort of podcast, or video podcast. Hey, I can dream right?
