Now that my extended abscense shall come to a close, I’d like to announce the unveiling of my new collumn which will explore the top 50 albums released in the last decade. Keep in mind that these are just albums that I’ve experienced a significant amount of time with and in no way reflect the absolute best music of the past decade. I can, however, say that all 50 of these records are worth owning or listening to at the very least.

Hello, there. I’ve taken quite a leave of absence. I was in a position with no real way to update this corner of the web for almost six months. I’m sure that anyone who did frequent this site has all but left for greener pastures. It’s nobody’s fault but my own. I neglected you. Well, I will neglect no longer. I’d like to continue to do some editorials throughout the week concerning anything in the geek milieu. The podcast is on hold for a bit.
Anyway, I should be completely revamping the site, including a name change, and would like to build a community over here. If anyone would like to contribute, send me a comment.
We’ll be hosting another great review tomorrow. It’s an album by another band I teased weeks ago. I’ll be reviewing the new album, as with their back catalog to follow in the weeks approaching its street date. What group? Come back tomorrow.

I’ve mentioned in the past that I’d like to start a game night with my readers. That’s still on the slate as of now. I currently only have two online capable systems, Wii and DS, and plan to upgrade to a 360 soon. I’ll have a seperate page up soon that details what games I have and their respective friend codes. I may also try to coax Zombiebait into taking part, considering he has every system known to man. As of now, Cesaria Game Night will debut next Thursday at 7:00 pm, game pending. Also, you can leave comments about what game you’d like to play. I really want to strive for community interaction.
Regarding the podcast, the traffic went up considerably and a few people downloaded it, which is actually more than I anticipated. I’d like to know what you think. The next one will be recorded Saturday night and put up either Sunday or Monday. We’ve now got two mics and a few songs we’ll be throwing in for good measure. These ass holes did it again. They managed to follow up the masterpiece Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? with a quirky, trippy hodgepodge of sexual freak funk you’re ever likely to hear. The record isn’t perfect. That much is true. But it’s damn near. Hit the jump for the full review.
Today/tomorrow I will be reviewing Skeletal Lamping, the new LP by one of my current favorite bands of Montreal. This is one of the albums I teased a few posts ago. I have not yet written the reviews to their entire back catalogue like I had intended, so those will be coming over the next few weeks, as the album doesn’t technically drop until October. This is absolutely my most anticipated album of the year, and I can’t wait to hear what new direction Kevin Barnes is taking the group. I will have you know that I’m keeping my hyperbole in check, just in case it turns out to be a mess. Although, I highly doubt it.
This is the inaugural podcast featuring two really awesome guys talking about shit no one cares about. In this episode we discuss the new Slipknot album, what we’ve been playing, casual vs. hardcore, our Top 5 Downloadable Games, and our retro section featuring Metroid. So, Zombiebait and I actually got around to recording a podcast, dubbed 2 Guys 1 Podcast. Yeah! I know! I actually did something when I said I would! Anyway, I had a blast recording it, and would LOVE to do it every week, which is our goal. It’s, of course, not a high production podcast, but rather two nerds sitting around and discussing nerdy things. If that type of thing interests you, please listen to us every week. I hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording it. We tend to go off into tangents every once in awhile, but it’s all in good fun. We’re looking into beefing up the production in the coming weeks, as this is merely a trial run. If you listen, please provide constructive criticism or comments, as to improve the show altogether. It’s fucking difficult to get on the goddamn computer here when you have three additional people vying for time with the lucious internets. So, there won’t be a whole lot of updates, which anyone who reads this site, all three of you, are more than likely used to by now.
Here’s what’s on the slate for the coming weeks/months. There are three high profile releases coming out in September/October that I’ll be reviewing along with their entire back catalogue. Who? Just wait. Hopefully, I can review them before they hit the streets. That was a hint. Or was it? Just kidding.
That little project I mentioned awhile ago is a no go….FOR NOW! I am, of course, speaking of the Flaming Lips project I have taken upon calling Project Zaireeka: An Experiment In Aural Experimentation, Punctuated by Progressive Nostalgia. I know, it’s a mouthful, but I’m a sucker for long titles. 
I’d still like to get a podcast off the ground, but lack the company that would make it work. No one wants to listen to one dude talk about media for an hour. I have talked to someone about it vaguely, but our schedules conflict and it would be nigh impossible to update it weekly, seeing as we are both lazy. This individual would make the perfect podcast companion, considering we occasionally butt heads. Should make for entertaining stuff. I’ve also got some awesome weekly/monthly features in mind that would definitely set us apart from the competion (read: EVERYONE!)
Anyone see that trailer for the Wii exclusive title The House of the Dead: Overkill? I’m buying it based on that trailer alone. For reals.
Any who, I apologize for my extended absence and hope to bring some more content to my corner of the web in the coming days. If only I could take command of the computer. Hmmmmm……
